How to make Money During Quarantine

Create an e-Commerce shop for selling physical goods
People are looking for new ways to stay entertained at home and keep things fresh. Give them ideas for sprucing up their space with new artwork or self-care items to stay sane. Create an ecommerce shop if you don’t already have one to sell toys to keep kids busy, tools to increase productivity, or spa items.
To get started, create an ecommerce shop with an easy-to-use website builder like Wix.
Then get your goods ready to sell. Wix offers 50% off for the first year plus a free domain.
Offer Gift Cards
Selling gift cards is a great way to bring in immediate income. Many of your customers are looking for ways to support you in this time with graduations, bridal showers, fathers day and other major events happening over the summer (virtually), gift cards are an easy gift that they can give their loved ones. Giving them the option to buy a gift card from you helps them do that. You can let them choose any amount they’d like to buy or set a suggested amount to buy specific services.
If they do buy a gift card for a smaller amount, this still benefits you in a number of ways. It gives you an opportunity in the future to upsell them for one of your bigger ticket services. So you get some revenue now and some revenue later from gift card holders who may book more expensive services when things get back to normal.
Offer a virtual class
During this pandemic everyone is at home board and looking for things to do. Some of my clients started to offer virtual classes for kids, others workshops on how to take photos using their I phone. All of my fitness minded friends started offering virtual fitness classes weekly and the gyms I once taught at came to me for advice on how to enter into the online world of fitness. I am currently teaching fitness Classes 6 times a week online from the comfort of my home.
Virtual Workshops & Meetups
Offer free and paid workshops, virtual meetups and more. This month alone we hosted two workshops one on using zoom for business and another on podcasting. Both were free but the upscale was an offer to coach with us along with participationg in a 6 week podcasting course (which we pre-saled). Along with that I hosted multiple meetups for our network (free but landed a few paid clients from it) and a few paid mentation events. These are all ways to make money while waiting for Uncle Sam to cut you a stimulus check.
I think now more than ever, people are open minded about virtual courses.
Create smaller-scale offerings
People are in a financial bind and might not be able to afford your high ticket price tag but they can afford a $27-$97 program. This is where your smaller scale offerings come in they purchase your $27 program and they begin to build that relationship with you as the expert. Eventually when you launch a higher priced ticket you have an audience that already loves you and wants to take the leap. You are not going to make one million dollars on a $27 product but you can monetize it as your low ticket offer that leads to a higher ticket offer.
Using FREE softwares like GrooveFunnels you can create this amazing funnel system that leads to higher priced tickets.
Create an online course or ebook
Creating an online course or an ebook is a good way to diversify your revenue stream, even when things get back to normal. Instead of serving your audience 1:1, creating an evergreen digital product allows you to scale and serve many at once without requiring more of your time.
No one knows your business, clients and industry better than you. Turn your knowledge into an online course or a valuable ebook. Learn about the four different online course formats and how to get started with our blog post.
A couple of online course ideas include:
Floral design
Virtual cooking class
Workout class
Event planning course
Offer online 1:1 sessions
Another way to provide value to your customers at this time remotely is to offer educational 1:1 sessions. This could work for makeup artists, florists, photographers, videographers and more.
Provide website creation
Another way to make money and help give back to your community is to help other small businesses set up their websites. Chances are your local small business community is relying heavily if not exclusively on online sales, so having a functioning website is crucial. If you have expertise in any website creators like Showit, WordPress, Wix, etc. you can really help your local businesses by setting up their site for them. If you already know what you’re doing, creating a website is a piece of cake; however, for some, creating a website is a daunting, almost impossible task.
Affiliate Programs
Becoming an affiliate for a service you love and that your ideal clients needs is a great way to make money especially during the pandemic. Businesses are investing in ways to take their services online, so why not help them by referring them to a great software. They will love you for it and you get paid to promote it.
Here is one that pays 20-40% commission on each sale, its free to join and you automatically get 20% commission on any upgrade. The best thing about it, its a software that people truly need effectively run their online business.
